How to set up email account for me.com in Microsoft Outlook

After hours of fiddling around I have found that Outlook 2003 is not supported and access is via https://www.icloud.com/#mail after installing the icloud app on your Windows PC.

So if you are on Outlook 2007 or later and want to add an email account this is what you do.

Add new email account as IMAP, then

Settings are
incoming server: p01-imap.mail.me.com
outgoing server: p01-smtp.mail.me.com
leave SPA unchecked

More Settings; Advanced
Server Port Settings:
Incoming server IMAP: 993
Check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
Outgoing Server SMTP: 587 (or 25 if unchecked )
Uncheck  This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)

At present it creates an account and receives Emails and Notes created on an iPad but trying to reply gives an error message and will not send.
Still trying to resolve.
